We are changing the yacht delivery industry one delivery at a time and I have come a long way to get to this point.
I grew up in Dublin, Ireland where I developed a love of the water from a young age.
At twelve years old I received my first sailing tuition and experienced sailing in conjunction with speaking the Irish language in remote parts of the West of Ireland.
In 2011 I emigrated to Australia where I began to formalize my experience on the water by working in the Whitsundays Region on charter vessels.
I was immediately enveloped by the industry, the lifestyle and the daily connection to the water. I set out to gain qualifications to solidify the experience I already had and continue my progression in the industry.
I started work on the Australian Commercial Maritime pathway through the Australian Maritime Safety Authority to get my Master 5, now Master 24M and my Marine Engine Driver Grade Two (MEDII).
During this time I was lucky enough to be able to complete some domestic and International deliveries for a friends delivery business and got my first real taste of ocean crossings as well as a foot in the door of the Superyacht Industry.
In 2016 I returned home to Ireland for a visit and ended up staying for eighteen months to work for the Irish National Sailing and Powerboating School where under the direction of the Royal Yachting Association I completed Instructorships in sailing and powerboating.
I then took a Captaincy in Chicago, Illinois, America. This was my entry into the exclusive Superyacht Industry. It is during this time when I began to develop the ethos of Complete Yacht Delivery.
To provide affordable Superyacht standard service to “small boat” owners.
At this time I also had the opportunity to be involved with the International Maxi Association’s Maxi 72 World Championships onboard the ex-Bella Mente for its European Summer series.
Although the Great Lakes provided me with some incredible sailing and racing experiences and put up their fair share of adverse conditions, I was longing for the Ocean again.
I joined a large sailing vessel for an intended circumnavigation in 2018, and there was no shortage of sailing over the next two years.
Working across two vessels I crossed the Atlantic twice, sailed into the Arctic Circle to Tromsö in Northern Norway and had opportunities to sail the Northern and Western Coast’s of Africa with Vendée Globe finishers and Atlantic Crossing Record holders.
After the second Atlantic Crossing I continued across the Caribbean Sea to transit the Panama Canal and sail to the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador.
Since then I have been back working and living in Australia.
My goal is to change the industry and provide affordable Superyacht standard service to “small boat” owners.
I intend to achieve that with a team of established, successful professionals who have been tested across the globe and are the future of the industry in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere.
No vessel owner should have to settle for below standard service when it comes to their pride and joy.
